Exam results place Westcliff High School for Girls among the leading schools in the country

Students at Westcliff High School for Girls have been celebrating excellent results for two successive weeks. On 15th August they collected their A’ level results and gained entry to a range of competitive Higher Education courses. 

Amongst them were some impressive individual achievements, including the following Oxbridge successes:

Jessy W - History, Cambridge, A*, A, A, B

Grace H - History, Cambridge, A*, A*, A, A, B

Alicia M - Medicine, Cambridge, A*, A*, A*, A

Amalie B - Japanese, Cambridge, A*, A*, A*, A

Eve R - Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Oxford, A*, A*, A, A

Many more students achieved A/A* grades across the board.

On 22nd August Year 11 students collected their GCSE results. 

Among the results, there were some stunning achievements, including three students who got 11 straight 9s across the board.

Nine students also picked up 10 grade 9s and one grade 8 in their GCSEs.

Emma Matthews, Headteacher of Westcliff High School for Girls, said: "We are immensely proud of the accomplishments of our students and are celebrating with them as they confirm their offers to gain entry back into our Sixth Form. 

"These results reflect the tenacity of Westcliff students.  They have been studious, conscientious and extremely passionate about their studies. 

"Our students will be joined by a number of students whom we welcome from other schools in September to embark upon their A-level studies in our highly successful sixth form and we very much look forward to helping them all to thrive over the next two years."
